If you didn't know already, I just graduated from the Applied Photography program at Sheridan College. It was an incredible 2 years there and I learned more than I ever thought I would. I met so many wicked people while at Sheridan, most of which I will continue to keep in touch with (even if you live in Vancouver or Israel) and to everyone that didn't like my smart-ass remarks during the critiques, I am not sorry. That being said, I have relocated to Toronto (finally) and am working full time right where I want to be. This change is great, I am glad to move on and to see what lies ahead of me.

Cancer Bats have just released a new album and I believe it just hit the streets today, that being said I was asked to submit an image to a new online publication and was quite honored since I had totally forgotten about these images. Last night was the new issue (8.1) release party at 751 in Toronto for ColorMag. I went to the event with full intentions of shooting, but after a couple pitchers with some awesome new pals I decided to leave the camera safe and sound in my backpack. However, I did get the opportunity to shoot a roll with a new sweet gal in the morning after a very eventful evening. Things are really starting to look up!

If you don't know Andrea Dyer, you really should. Basically, she took me under her arms when I first picked up a camera and would shoot local shows for a DIY zine publication by the name of 'Currents'. She would hook me up with all these shows and in between sets I would run out to the touring bands with her to catch a quick interview. I could probably write a short novel on the amount of work we did together while I was still in high school and here I am only 2 months away from graduating college. Since then she has been working her butt off with Invisible Children touring all over the US of A raising awareness and funds. She has just recently returned back home and I am glad I got to get out to Hamilton for 3 cups of coffee with her.

I don't even know where to start about Miguel Jacob. It all started with the most terrifying phone call of my life to numerous studio sessions and countless coffees. Miguel has been a major influence on me lately,has helped me work out so many kinks and has answered just about every stupid question I could get the balls to ask him. I've learned so much from him and not even just about photography, but on life in general. I'm not trying to hype him up to much, just want whoever actually reads this to know that this man rules.

I snapped a quick Polaroid of Miguel just minutes after an exhausting yet incredible 10 hour studio shoot at Studio1 downtown.
